WHY I LOVE HER

Although Matikanefukukitaru is usually treated as a comic relief character, her career can be very emotional. As her trainer, we see through the highs of her winning streak leading to the Kikuka Sho and the lows of facing crushing defeat at Suzuka's hands and being criticized for her erratic behavior. She's canonically a hoarder and an anxious bundle of a horse just waiting to blow up. And I love it! I see a lot of myself in Fukukitaru and at the same time I find me wanting to protect her and tell her that everything is going to be okay. More people should know about Fukukitaru and her story! She's been in the game since the very beginning & deserves more respect for it!
